Watts Construction had the opportunity to sponsor and volunteer at AGC’s Block Kids Competition last week for the fourth time. Over 70 kids, ages kindergarten through 6th grade, gathered to compete in a timed block-building competition. They were able to express their creativity not only through their builds, but also in interviews with the judges.
One of Watts Construction’s Project Managers was able to offer his construction expertise as a judge. He enjoyed interacting with the participants and seeing their creativity firsthand.
During transition periods, kids and their parents also participated in activities provided by vendors and took a tour of Career Tech High School, where the event was held. We had another employee in the activity room interacting with kids and their parents.
Watts Construction always enjoys being involved, giving back to our community, and encouraging kids’ interest in the construction industry.
