Watts Construction recently won two statewide awards for their project – the Washington County Administration Building and Parking Structure. The first was Publisher’s Pick from Utah Construction and Design‘s 2023 Most Outstanding Projects. The second was the Overall Building/Industrial Project of the Year from the Associated General Contractors of Utah.

The awards ceremony for the Utah Construction and Design awards took place at the Little America Hotel in Salt Lake City, UT on December 12, 2023. Representatives from Watts Construction and Washington County accepted the award and are immensely grateful to UC+D for the recognition. Entries were awarded based on a project overview, innovation in design and construction, aesthetics/design elements, safety, quality, craftsmanship, contribution to the industry and community, and overcoming unique challenges/obstacles.
AGC
The primary team members on the project including Watts Construction, Washington County, and Simpson Coulter Studio attended the AGC of Utah Awards Breakfast on January 18th, 2024, where forty-four awards were given out to projects in the construction industry. Entries were judged based on a description of the project, overall safety of the project, overcoming challenges and teamwork, innovation & contribution to the industry/community, construction quality & craftsmanship, and function and aesthetic quality of the design. Watts is honored that the Washington County Administration Building & Parking Structure project received this award.
Both of these awards are not only a great achievement for not only Watts Construction but the entire project team including Washington County, Simpson Coulter, and the dozens of dedicated trade contractors and consultants that made this project a success.
